[AB] Telus Actiontec V1000h port forwarding issue

Give up there is no way to do port fowarding with Windows and this Modem, it just wont work. Works fine under linux but not windows

I have done port forwarding for multiple ports and it works fine for me to both linux and windows machines. With the older firmware I had some issues with the port forwarding not working after the WAN IP changed, but I haven't seen that with the 31.30L.55 firmware anymore.

Example TCP port 6112 for game hosting.

Firewall -> Port forwarding

1. Set the LAN ...
Starting port: 6112
Ending port: 6112
Protocol: TCP
LAN IP address: 192.168.1.89

2. Set the remote port ...

Starting port: 6112
Ending port: 6112

Apply

@DanteX, it may not work in your situation, and with many possible causes, but that doesn't mean you can apply your experience as a blanket statement.

@jitterbug, im assuming you play SC :-P

@OP, have you looked at PortForward.com yet?

Thanks for reply. After load the FW posted on our website. The port forwarding is working now.

if you are trying to port forward 80 or 21 don't worry about just got off the phone with them they blacked it out for residential users. like talking to a fence post. i will be dealing with them tomorrow i just want to forward my security camera notifications which i need a ftp site and these pces of ___ block it out waisted hours thinking i was doing something wrong.
