 1 edit | [AB] Telus Actiontec V1000h port forwarding issue My modem just be replaced with Actiontec V1000h last night. I was trying to set port forwarding to enable Windows Remote Desktop. It was always easier to config and working with other Telus modem , but this time it didn't working. I forward port 3389 for TCP and UDP to my PC, which have a constant local IP. I also checked the port from outside, the modem is opening the port and listening. But I can never connect my PC from out side any more. Did I miss some thing?
Thanks |

| I have done port forwarding for multiple ports and it works fine for me to both linux and windows machines. With the older firmware I had some issues with the port forwarding not working after the WAN IP changed, but I haven't seen that with the 31.30L.55 firmware anymore.
Example TCP port 6112 for game hosting.
Firewall -> Port forwarding
1. Set the LAN ... Starting port: 6112 Ending port: 6112 Protocol: TCP LAN IP address: 192.168.1.89
2. Set the remote port ...
Starting port: 6112 Ending port: 6112

@OP, have you looked at PortForward.com yet? |

Re: [AB] Telus Actiontec V1000h port forwarding issue @ghochreiter - Besides bumping an unrelated thread, the ports being blocked is NOT a new thing nor is it hidden. It is done outside the house and has nothing to do with the modem.
