Anyone interested in helping me out for a cut of the profits? I'd do it myself but I'm not a Java programmer.
I will explain in more detail once I garner some interest (and possibly an NDA)
My original project is being developed in ASP.NET/VB.NET. Will mostly be stand-alone for users who are worried about the privacy of their data, but I may also decide to incorporate cloud-based storage (aka my hosting provider storage allotment) of user data so they can access it from anywhere - whether it be on an android device or their home computer via a website.
There is only one competitive product out there that I know of, but it's focus is slightly different than mine.

I've been using an 'archaic' version since 2008 that I wrote entirely in Excel...and it has helped me GREATLY in it's purpose.
I can imagine how much it could benefit other people and that's why I'm first porting it to ASP/VB.NET for web accessability, and then I want a version for the android phone.
Reason I want to port it to the phone is because I can then potentially activate features of the app via text messages from 3rd party vendors...so this could be big if I get buyin from these vendors...some of which already send text alerts to their customers for various purposes.
First things first though; get the app out there so it has visibility and gains a reputation. Then, I think the vendors will be more inclined to provide what I want.

I was just gonna say if it's a relatively simple thing, you could check out App Inventor... »www.appinventorbeta.com/about/ -- {Send Secure Notes Free and Easily} :: whisperBot.com |

 | There are some other libraries to do this but phonegap is what we use. |
