Majic Jack is a humongous rippoff

After getting an email from Majic Jack about Majic Jack Plus. I ordered it last week.
I was excited by the possibility of having a “cheap” home phone service but I guess, sometimes, you get what you pay for.

On the first day of installed(this past Tuesday 12/13), the call cut off after approximately 15 minutes. Yesterday, the call I was on cut off after approximately 20 minutes. Just to point out I have nothing wrong with my home internet connection(FIOS 25/25 and I also have Vonage which works flawlessly). I am glad I didn’t cancel my Vonage account yet.
I will monitor things a few more days before I make a decision but it is not looking too good.
Just before it cuts off, you hear an echo and that is when I believe the Majick jack cut off software kicks in to boot you off the service.
It is a humongous rippoff. My credit card will not be charged until 1/12/2012 and my majic jack unit will hopefully be returned before t hen.

So before you even troubleshoot you call MJ a ripoff??
Try checking to see if your router has the latest firmware. USUALLY calls getting dropped like that have something to do with your router.
Also check out this forum »www.magicjacksupport.com/ LOTS of good info and help from fellow MJ users..

Try plugging the MJ+ into the Vonage router.
