[Help] Can't connect to my web server using an external host nam

I replaced a Dell 2350 Wireless router with my new Belkin N450 Gigabit Wireless router. I can no longer connect to my Apache web server using an external host name, like:

http://xxxxxxxx.homeip.net (DynDNS.org hostname)

If I use the internal IP address it works fine:

http://192.168.2.2

This is causing me some significant problems when testing changes to the web server. If I use an external proxy like http://chopperpass.info/ then I can connect but this does not allow me to test some of my web servers functions.

I submitted a question to Belkin support but thought I would ask here as well to see if anyone else has this problem and has found a work around or fix.

Thanks, Rich
