skivir join:2011-12-15 Coldwater, MS | [Help Me] dir615 strict nat This is a help me and a question. Ill ask first. Does internet speed effect router Nat? I have att DSL 6.0. Before that I had Comcast cable. With cable, Nat was always open. With DSL, strict.
Now. My problem is online gaming on ps3. Strict Nat. This is what I've done so far - updated firmware, verified upnp is on, put ps3 in dmz and turned on dmz in router, used portforward.com and followed directions. Best Nat I can get is moderate.
The reason I ask if net speed affects Nat is cuz I disconnected my router and connected the ps3 directly to modem and still could only get moderate. Another question. Why does the ps3 report a Nat problem when its not connected to a router? Thought Nat was a router thing. |

| reply to skivir Need to bridge the DSL modem if you can. Check to see if it has a DMZ then put your routers IP address it gets from the modem into the DMZ.
Also need to set up port forwarding too for PSN. DLink has some good info on PSN over on the Dlink forums. |
