The long range winter forecasts that I have seen all tend towards the same thing. Nothing special, about average snowfall (10") about about average temperatures, although they did lean towards (maybe, possibly) one snow fall in the 6"+ range and then little pissey ones to make up the difference.

I went to New Mexico for some sunshine and a little warmer temps and the entire state got hit with snow. I went through five separate snow storms in one single day, including a 2" in less than half an hour, white out conditions, shit I'm in a rented Chevy Cruze kind of snow so I have had my winter - or at least my snow driving has been re-certified for the season.
