And about freaking time! It only took oh...until every other provider except Comcast & TWC had it. So TWC gets it ahead of Comcast...pretty dubious distinction. Still better late than never. Now, how does one go about getting into the beta??

Actually Comcast has had it for a while now. Cablevision is the other big cable company that doesn't have it.

Here's the login for Comcast subs

Right you are...they both begin with a "C"...pre-holiday brain freeze!

According to a few sources, Multichannel News and Engadget, the HBO Go beta test has begun for Signature Home subscribers. I’ve looked all around, and cannot find a way to join the beta test. Nothing on HBOs website, nothing on Time Warner’s. Nothing in my main Road Runner email, no alert in my online account management. So how does one actually get into the beta.

You might want to call your Signature Home support number. It was reported yesterday that NYC Signature Home subscribers were part of the beta test, however, regular sales, customer service and tech support do not handle Sig. Home.

Here is a link to a entry on the Time Warner Cable Untangled Blog. It has links to the beta sites for Signature Home subscribers...

Thanks for the info. I clicked on the link in the blog, entered my TWC credentials and get a message about it being a limited beta. I can't actually play any of the HBO Go or Max Go content, and I don't think it sees me as actually being logged on, as at the top right hand corner, there is still a Sign In link after I enter my TWC info. When I click on Sign In, I go through the same motions as described. Oh well.

Just a wild guess, but maybe you need to go to the "My Services" page and log in there first. MAYBE it will recognize you after you have done that...

The link for signature at home customers to sign up was in an email sent out on Thursday.

The only email I received to the address I have registered with Time Warner on Thursday was my direct deposit notifications from the bank. I also did not receive any notification in the master Road Runner email account.

I already logged into My Services prior to trying to log into HBO Go. Remember, I said I checked my online account management already to see if there was any info in there about HBO Go.

I thought you switched to Direct TV when MSG was dropped?

I would give your PSA a call.

DirecTV gets installed on Friday. I have an NHL Center Ice subscription with Time Warner, no way in hell am I going to cancel Time Warner before the NHL season is up and flush that money away.

I'm not going to bother. The beta trial won't work with the mobile apps. Since I have zero interest in watching TV on my computer, but rather my phone and tablet, I can wait until Friday when I can log on to HBO Go using my DirecTV info.

Understood. I am assuming though that you will cancel your premium channels which would make it a moot point.

Actually with the season premiere of Californication on the way, and the series premier of Luck, I'm planning on keeping the premiums on both services for a while to do an A-B comparison of the picture quality between the two sources, channel by channel. And I’m not just going to give it a few seconds and say one is better than the other as picture quality can fluctuate at times.
