LG 42LV5400/5500, Cablevison remote issues

For some reason I can not control my TV volume on the cablevision remote.

I tried all the LG TV codes and I tried the Auto Program. The only thing that works is the TV power button.

I also tried using the CBL and SEL for 3 seconds, VOL+, CBL method and it still doesn't work...

This is extremely frustrating using 2 remotes to watch TV(one for channels and one for vol).
