 | Web Pages loading Incredibly slow with WNR2000v2 Hey all I'm hoping someone may have an idea as to what is going on with my interwebs. I just bought a new home and set up with Charter internet. I'm using a Motorola SB6121 modem and a Netgear WNR2000v2 router. I'm on a 15mbps plan with Charter and the speeds are clocking anywhere between 10-30mbps on various tests over the past few days. However, I've noticed that on all the computers in my house, both desktops and laptops using both wireless and wired connections to the network, that web pages are taking an annoying large amount of time to load. I'm talking like upwards of 30 seconds before the pages load.
I'm hoping this is a router issue, as connecting directly to the modem causes me no problems. I've searched high and low for a setting on the router that might be bottlenecking the connection but I can't find anything.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Or am I just noob and missing something incredibly obvious? Any help is greatly appreciated! |

 | Remember when 30 seconds was FAST? LOL. Oh how spoiled we are!
I am using a refurb WNR2000v2 I bought from Woot last month. I am paying for Optimum Boost+ which is 50/8. I have been getting 20-30 the last few days. I even got 8/2 on WIRED!
I tweeked the settings... changed the channel to 1 or 11 (forget which). I also changed the speed to "Up to 300mhz" and restarted and it seemed to have worked. I just tested again and I got 48/7.69.
IDK if you read my other post, but I was using the WNR2000v3 and I started dropping the connection every 30 seconds. It started BEFORE the firmware upgrade but got way worse after the upgrade. I'm going to hook that back up and try it again. I'll post back w/ my results. |
