 | ACANAC: Do not bother with this company!!! I read many reviews on here but gave Acanac a chance anyways.
Their install date was nearly three weeks after I called.
I was getting set up with cable internet.
After 5 weeks, YES 5 WEEKS, and two install dates where the guy just didn't show, I finally called Rogers and found out ROGERS (and thus acanac) DOES NOT SERVICE MY AREA.
Acanac had NO idea. None. The CSRs were unhelpful and borderline rude. They can do NOTHING for you and their communications with Rogers are nil.
So, I waited 5 weeks to find out on my own they couldnt service me. When I called to tell them they were just "meh". I told them to refund my account as I was not about to go with them for DSL after the awful experience.
They told me that I must SEND AN EMAIL to cancel my account. What! I did not HAVE INTERNET and I live a good 40 mins from friends house where I can even get to the net. When I repeatedly told them this they just did not give a shit.
There is much more grief but I don't want to make this post too long.
AVOID ACANAC. Avoid a company where you cant even speak to the accounting department on the phone and the ones who do answer you barely speak english.

 | And I will just say one more thing, the wait lines to speak to a CSR are INSANE.
I spoke to at least 10 different people (some multiple times!) during this fiasco.
One guy I spoke to for AN HOUR while setting up service. AN HOUR. He/she (not sure if it was a guy or girl) did not even sign me up for internet, it was insane! He/She signed me up for PHONE SERVICE and just forgot to sign me up for the internet. I was furious! When I called to find out why my installation never happened the guy was like woops guess the CSR forgot to do that process. Um, its your job. How can you keep me on the phone fo ran hour to set my internet order up and FORGET TO DO IT.
Not only that but every person I spoke to told me a different t hing. They are all just talking out of their asses.
And- I took off work for THREE FULL DAYS to wait for the rogers tech to come. THREE FULL DAYS. I cannot get that money or time back. Do not waste your time with Acanac! Trust me!! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and paid the price. I spent 8 weeks without the internet thanks to these chumps. |

Re: ACANAC INC. Sorry you had such a hard time. We can not hurry up the activation dates unfortunately as we have to wait for Rogers to give us the install dates for our cable service. I understand it gets frustrating, not only for the customer but for us too as we want to get the customers hooked up. They should have told you yes, that service was not available in your area.
As far as the reps being rude to you this is unexceptionable and if you know the names or even if you do not remember the name please send feedback to feedback@acanac.com as the owners read these. Without us getting feedback we can not correct a problem.
Unfortunately to cancel it is the only way we have to cancel an account and that is to send the email to billing@acanac.com. We do not have access to billing files so we can not do it for you and I am sorry for that.
I do not understand a agent setting you up on the phone because normally all orders are placed on our website by the customer.
Oh and our agents ALL speak English. We do have a few French agents so French speaking customers but the rest definitely speak English. |
