Why are all the links bad??????

Why are all the links bad for 2wire installation in FAQ section?
Shouldn't these at least be removed if nothings there?

They just need to be updated. The info contained in that faq apply to the 1000 series 2wire
All the guides can be found at this link

Do you have some specific problem for which you might be able to get help in this forum, or is this just a rant about the outdated 2-wire faqs?

A little of both. I'm going to set up a 2wire 2701ng-b later today for a relative. I'm use to just dealing with westell 6100 and netgear or linksys routers. Came across this FAQ and thought it would be good to review a little. Just don't like sloppy work.

Googled a little and found this
»ftp.bellsouth.net/archiv ··· cuments/

Is this a new dsl account, does the relative have a username/email address and a password

The 2wire only needs a username/email address and a password to make a internet connection

If the model number is 2701HG-B it's defaults are for use with att dsl
Just change the pppoe username and password

The 2701HG-B has a preset "pw for wireless access"
