Re: My REVIEW of Vonage is authentic 99.9% posting here are PAID said by AbleinTruth:Still have Vonage in my house; the numbers have still not yet transferred so my REVIEW is real. CONFIDENT that yours are NOT because they Timeline for many of the Postings here are FALSE! Vonage was NOT in business 15 yrs or even 9 yrs. ago! There was NOT VoIP 9 or 15 yrs ago! Suggest you clowns delete those quickly. There is a great line from "Blazing Saddles" about someone speaking in authentic frontier gibberish.
There is another great line from "Babylon 5" about a man with "the worst case of testosterone poisoning I've ever seen".
Vonage started with business customers in 2001, and signed up its first residential customer in March 2002. So [AbleinTruth] is mistaken on this issue.
Actually, Vonage's predecessor "Min-X" was operating in 2000.
So, who is the clown?
There's only one posting with an incorrect date, and that was probably a typo or a "senior moment".

When a company has to pay you hustlers to write up REVIEWS, then CLEARLY that company has serious problems. VONAGE is being SUED constantly! That you cannot deny or attempt to downplay with your BOGUS postings! Oh, dearie dear. Oh, dear.
Yes, by all means, a guy who is here less than 10 days trying to harass people who are here for 10 years.
And who still does not understand that EXCESSIVE USE OF CAPITALS UNDERMINES ANYTHING YOU WRITE.

| reply to PX Eliezer said by PX Eliezer:ATT CallVantage no longer exists, but certainly Vonage has various other competitors that might be paying for negative reviews. Now, IF they are paying that guy, it is money poorly spent, because his rant against Vonage is so over-the-top as to be a caricature. Oh, I know... using ATT Callvantage didn't make any sense... which is why it'll fit right in with this guy... making no sense... -- 1/20/09 = The final day of our Retarded Cowboy President! |

Re: VONAGE is hands-down the WORSE VoIP company of all time Clearly should have quit while he was ahead. I thought this would be the usual drive-by posting but no, he's trying to "make" his point and shooting himself in the foot while doing so. Fine by me. |

radem join:2001-05-31 Hanover Park, IL | reply to AbleinTruth I have no issues with Vonage other than a slightly stale feature set (where is selective call blocking) and fees that are higher than I would expect. They have had occasional glitches (less than 1 per year in my experience) but I have had far more problems that I could blame on my internet provider or someone overloading my network by watching streaming video, big download/uploads etc.
Oh yes, my Vonage review from 8 years ago was also a clever plant to influence people today. As doctor Phil says: Get real! |

 | I'm another happy (and I assure you very real) Vonage user of about 10 years. I was one of their very early customers, am still using my original Cisco ATA box and couldn't be more satisfied. I have both a voice and fax line and it all works perfectly. I did have a minor provisioning issue when I first got the fax line but a few minutes with someone in tech support and some magic on their end fixed it and I've never had a problem. They're not the cheapest VOIP provider, though they're certainly competitive, but they've always provided me with perfect service in every way. I'm not going to become part of the churn over a few dollars a month. For providing me with 10 years of great service at great rates (remember how much it used to cost with Bell?), I won't jump ship because a few providers offer comparable service for a few dollars less a month. |

| reply to AbleinTruth I will have to pitch in here:
Not currently a Vonage customer, but I have been in the past (multiple times), and even for an event of over 40 lines.
Vonage was always great. Their pricing may not be the best, but reliability and call quality was always fantastic.
I now use VoIP.ms and cannot complain. |

 | reply to AbleinTruth When I was with Vonage, the service and call quality was wonderful. Its the price of $24 that ballooned to $45 was the problem. -- It is true that liberty is precious, but is it so precious it must be rationed? |

djlloydPremium join:2002-12-18 Goose Creek, SC | reply to AbleinTruth Had my Vonage Line since December 2004 and have ALWAYS had EXCELLENT service. Much of it has to do with having a very good high speed business class ADSL connection with virtually zero jitter!
If you wonder, NO I do not work for or sell Vonage!

| reply to AbleinTruth I have now been a member of Vonage for ten years. First heard about it on Slashdot. Originally I got it because I took a job in Los Angeles and left my wife in Tucson for a few months-and we needed an inexpensive way to talk every night. Vonage fit the bill perfectly.
Last month I actually thought about leaving Vonage and went so far as to port my number to Anveo. I had been given an Ooma for free to review it-and I found Ooma to be a great service, on a par with Vonage (but without some of its frills). Nonetheless, my Vonage bill had gone up over the years and I was paying 50 dollars a month for three numbers. I called them to cancel and they IMMEDIATELY offered me a deal- 9.99 a month for unlimited USA and Canada calling with one number. Since I had already ported out my main number, I took their deal. Vonage worked hard to keep me as a customer - and succeeded.
See my post:

 | Very subjective. Been with them for 10 years and no problems what so ever. Matter of fact, they just upgraded my adapter (original PAP) which ran fine all these years, free of charge. I couldn't ask for anymore in a VoIP service. |

 | reply to AbleinTruth I've been with Vonage for over 2 years now and completely DISAGREE with the OP. Vonage is The Best ever -- both for value AND for having actual knowledgeable techs.
1. Vonage World: NO problems, no "surprises" on my bill. 2. Taxes: OP must be in a high tax area. At any rate, taxes for phone stuff is generally the same regardless of landline or VOIP. 3. Call Waiting: Had that no work maybe 2x. Simple solution -- reboot adapter. 4. OPs calling plan must've been something other than Vonage World as there's no need for "refunds" since everything is covered. 5. Route calls to the wrong phone number: How ? That's something we (subscribers) input on our Vonage account page. 6. Contract? What contract? And if one had a contract, it behooves one to know the specifics before trying to weasle out.
Vonage adapters: Yeah, the VDV22 is cheap, but guess what? You can buy the VDV21. Also Vonage was great when I had a chewed electrical cord: sent me a new one, no charge, via 2 day shipping.
Vonage has great CS and knowledgeable techs. Compare that to Comcast (check out the complaints !!). VONAGE ROCKS -- GREAT VOIP PROVIDER. |

 | reply to AbleinTruth It looks like the guy who is defending Vonage vigorously is also paid by Vonage. I know online marketing techniques. It is possible all the users defending vonage may be the same person with different user names. Frankly speaking, my experience with vonage has also been really poor. |
