[request] Request revision historyI would like to request that we be able to see revision history of an edit. That way when someone edits their post after we read it we can actually see what was edited. |

Re: Request revision historyDon't confuse me with an expert about the site database, but I don't think that information is even stored. |

I am not an expert but I play one on TV We do not store that information. Some people as a courtesy will say something like "Edited: to take out grammar error ... or ... removed xyz" ... but that is up to the poster. Most people would prefer you not see what was edited out ... as usually they had second thoughts about a post and decided ... maybe it was better not to post xyz... |

Doesn't your suggestion kind of take away the ability for people to edit their posts? If whatever they edit out is still visible, what good is an edit?
How would this suggestion be useful or helpful? |

How would this suggestion be useful or helpful? Yeah, darn right. Object to the user's idea until they can explain that. |

How would this suggestion be useful or helpful? If i read your post at 12 and then you edit it at 1, I would like to know what was changed. Edit is designed to change what is on the screen but once free edit expires there should be a way for other people to see what was edited out/in etc. |

You haven't explained how it would be useful or helpful. You've just said you'd like to see what was edited out. |

The only other way would be to read everything again. If it's 1 or 2 lines that is fine. But if it's big paragraph or more it would be easier to see what was changed insteasd of having to reread everything again. |
