| [Rant] Facebook: Timeline Do they have a bunch of trained monkeys designing facebook now?
Who in their right godly mind looks at that cluttered user interface and says 'OK, this looks good, do it!'
where do I start?
Who puts updates in squares that instead of going up and down, are placed side by side?
I'll let other users rant about the other points  . But right now, that is the biggest complaint about this joke of an interface |

I think ever since approximately 2006, user interfaces have been going downhill. Everything from Microsoft products to Google to various other websites and softwares.
Maybe there's something I'm failing to understand, but IMHO, user interfaces in general have been getting less and less efficient. |

Re: [Rant] Facebook: Timeline I miss the era where having a list of categories down the side of the page, or across the top, with one main body of content. Most webpages today either look like they're designed to be read on a 320x240 phone screen or have seemingly no organization and are just one big cluster !@#$ you have to dig around to find anything.
And what the hell is the new obsession with padding all over the place? Although this I suspect has a lot to do with people using touch screen tablets and phones, but that doesn't belong on a regular website, and should be on a mobile version of the site. |

I don't like as my "home page" a choice of friends I should pick *sighs*. Now I have to hunt to find out what my family posted if anything. I wish I could talk them into going somewhere besides FB  |

I despise the horribly clunky UI they're going to force upon users for Christmas -- I'd be apathetic if I wasn't made to switch to this joke. I guess I'm going to see what options I have to modify my browser when looking at Facebook, or just stick mostly to my mobile versions (text+app).

i really dont like it, the two colum thing might have been a good idea had they done it where game/app posts where in one colum, and your "real" posts where in the other. on the back side they still dont let you sort posts by type/subtype, i.e. if your a gamer you USED to be able to sort the feed based on what game. or you could sort by status updates only, or image posts only, etc. cant do that since the "last" update, and you still cant with this update. that to me is a major flaw. they can purdy it up alllll they want, but if the basic functionality isnt there.... |
