[EvDO] TMobile

Tried searching but couldn't find much. Any reviews on the speed of T-Mobile's 3g service? Good/Bad?

T-Mobie's service will vary significantly depending on the are you use it in I have their top-of-the-line aircard (the ZTE Rocket 3.0) and in some cases I can hit 16 Mbps down and 3 Mbps up with 40ms of latency, while in others I get speeds comparable to dialup, or no service at all. Just depends on what part of the network you're on, specifically whether T-Mobile has their HSPA+ network out in a given area.

I'll be in your neck of the woods in a day or two, and will thus be able to speak to how good the network is where you're at. I have a few family members with T-Mobile in the area and haven't heard any complaints, but there's a difference between voice service and 4G data (T-Mobile calls HSPA+ 4G and it's reasonable to agree with them due to the speeds I've seen).

One last thing: T-Mobile doesn't do EvDO.

I am looking at it for possible use out at our fair grounds, we currently use sprint cards since DSL and Cable are not available at the location. But during the actual fair sprints network gets over loaded after about 5pm which causes issues.

The reason I am looking at Tmobile is they have the prepay service and we only use 2 of the cards 3-4 months out of the year.

Take a look at TMo's coverage maps. I probably won't make it out to the fairgrounds this trip, but I would assume that, if they say an area is covered in port St. lucie, they'll have similar speeds across the city.

Me and my brother went to psl about a month ago and his phone was on 4g the whole time. Tmo works very well down there

The coverage map looks good, so I guess I will try it and see. Thanks all for the input.
