Jim GurdPremium join:2000-07-08 Plymouth, MI | Volt sales mostly to government Just as I predicted in this thread it looks like a significant portion of Volts sold are fleet sales or sales to government agencies. Real people are simply not buying them. It's not a case of no supply, but of no demand.

Audi Chief Calls Chevy Volt "A Car For Idiots"
Bring on the war of words. In a frank conversation with MSN writer Lawrence Ulrich, Audi of America President Johan de Nysschen has said that the Chevy Volt will fail and that anybody who buys the car is an idiot. Not only that, de Nysschen has lumped proponents of any type of electric car into a category of intellectual elite who want to show what enlightened souls they are. ... »gas2.org/2009/09/03/audi-chief-c···-idiots/
I didn't watch the vid, is the government getting a fleet discount, paying list, or paying an extra premium price over and above list? -- one should not increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything |

At least I've seen a couple folks actually driving some around here, can't say the same for Nissan Leaf. -- I turned on my computer for this? |

At least I've seen a couple folks actually driving some around here, can't say the same for Nissan Leaf. I'm just across the ditch here from you and we have HOV lanes that will give drivers with special green plated vehicles like the Leaf the licence to use the HOV lane solo. Haven't seen one yet. |

and if you want an AWD car, get a Subaru it will last longer than any Audi. While I am big on Audis, Audi of America disappoints often. Audi is making big research in electric cars, e-tron. But AoA is trying to push diesels till that becomes mainstream. Yet the current line up of diesels is beyond disappointing.... -- Semper Fi |
