Waterfox 9.0Waterfox is basically a 64-Bit version of Firefox. The Firefox source code is taken and compiled to run specifically for 64-Bit Windows computers. To make Waterfox stand out a bit more, its compiled with optimizations so that it will run more efficiently and faster than just compiling Firefox as a 64-Bit program. May require Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package installed. » waterfoxproj.sourceforge ··· ownloads |

How is plugin support? Are plugins 1:1 with Firefox versions or are they hit in miss? For example, will plugins that work with Firefox 9.0 work with Waterfox 9.0?
I'm not very familiar with third party Firefox ports, and this is really my only concern. |

So far can't tell much difference than FF 8.0. Only been playing with it for short time however.
Installed the 64bit java already had 64bit flash. Silverlight says I don't have correct operating system. |

I thought I was running Waterfox, not Firefox! :-) | The Info for the Desktop Icon for Waterfox | |
So, I downloaded it, installed it (and the C++ files too), and launched it. Now, maybe I did something wrong, but I don't think it looks right! As you can see in the first picture, the about box still comes up as "Firefox Version 9.0.1". Just to make sure I clicked the right icon, I verified the settings for it, and posted that too. What did I do wrong?? Edit: I fixed the problem, but not sure why this would be needed. I did a reboot, and when I launched Waterfox, it did run correctly, and I do get the proper about box. --Brian |

Looks like there is no Roboform support. |

I finally got around to testing Waterfox today. That test ended short as I quickly found out what I originally expected. Waterfox isn't compatible with 1Password so that's a definite no go for me. Was really hoping this would work out. |

What I've found is that if ether Firefox or waterfox are open you can't open the other till you close the current one
so if water is open clicking the fire icon will just open another water window |

They share the same profile so, that would make sense. |

Yes, because they are both 'Firefox'. It's highly advisable to have a separate profile for each. |
