| Erased messages I always hit the "Keep Me Logged In" tag whenever it prompts me to log in.
Just now, I typed two messages, using Quick Reply.
One took me ten minutes.
The second one took me two hours to write. I wanted to put it in the editor to look at it in full but there was no button to do so.
After hitting post, the message disappeared, and it said simply "Anonymous users are not allowed to post. Post discarded" or similar.
Where did my two hours and ten minutes of work go? Can I get it back?
Obviously this is a mis-programming on your part. You should save the message to a draft and allow someone to "log in" despite the fact I always hit "keep me logged in" every goddamned time! |

 | reply to Ulmo I have had posts get "lost" before, which is one reason why I use the Textarea Cache [Firefox] extension. (I never use Quick Reply though.) |

| reply to Ulmo Any post that takes two hours, or even ten minutes, to compose is a misuse of the "Quick Reply" feature. Quick Reply is intended for short, to the point, comments, not dissertations. For long-ish responses, the plain old "Reply" method should be utilized. -- "I am a man of fixed and unbending principles, the first of which is to be flexible at all times. |
