How do you pronounce it

I always thought Acanac rhymed with "mechanic" but the guy I was just on the phone with pronounced it ack-ah-nack, the hilarious way. Which is it?

I've always called it Ahcanic instead of Akanak because it sounds much more... civilized.

Although you would pronounce it the latter way taking things literally and somehow weren't aware of how bad that sounded, or the fact that you'd never hear something like that in English.

LOL you might be right. I have heard it pronounced different ways. I do agree with Hardware _guy and you. It sounds more civilized this way.
