 | Having issues with my U-Verse internet service It was installed on 11/21 without any problems. 6 days ago, I started receiving emails where the images on them wouldn't show up- I would click on links within the email and the internet couldn't connect me to them. Additionally, when I'd surf to different pages, some of the items on the page wouldn't show, they would have the broken image icon on them or a question mark. I have a mac power pro, my daughter uses a mac laptop and was having issues with her internet and emails as well, also her phone when using wi-fi also had problems. I called ATT tech support, was on the phone for 1.5 hours and they told me they'd send a tech over. He was at my house for over 3 hours trying to solve the issue. When he used his ipad through wi-fi, he's also have the same issue. He called additional tech support and they told him they thought it was a hub issue, that they'd have to change the connection. They did it the following morning and nothing has helped. We are still having the same issues. It is extremely frustrating when you cannot go to certain sites because it won't connect you. BTW, I have tried using different browsers, safari, google chrome and firefox and the issues are the same on all. Can anyone help? Thanks! |

 | Do you have the moto nvg510? If so it could be buggy firmware in the modem. There is a thread here about that issue. A factory reset of the modem or using google or open dns instead of att dns servers should address it. |

 | Hi, thanks for your reply. That is the modem. The factory reset was already done and it didn't help at all. When you say using google, what do you mean? Also, how do I use open dns instead of the att dns servers? I can't stand the fact that they say they don't have any support for mac users- it is so frustrating! |

 | reply to maca You just go into your nic settings and manually type in the primary and alternate dns servers. Open dns is 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220. |

 | Thank you. I'll try it. I also took a look at some other posts as you mentioned that there were several people with the same issue- it seems it is the modem model that has the problem. Thanks again! |

Re: Having issues with my U-Verse internet service Did you ever resolve this issue? I am having the same. I spent forever on the phone with Att, TWICE, including "Level 2" tech support. I reset the modem, reset all settings in Safari (I have a Mac) and am still having the problem. He tried to blame my computer or browser, but I told him it happens on my phone too, but only at home- and not only with Safari, but with apps too! Broken images. Not every one, and not all the time, but consistently here and there every day. He finally told me to call Apple because "Att is not responsible for the DISPLAY of the content, only for your connection, which appears to be fine" (showing a download speed of 5mbps). I told him it sounded like software or firewall on the modem. But I got nowhere. And someone coming out to check it would cost by the hour. |

You need to use alternate DNS servers but you can not change them on the router so you either have to put the modem into bridge mode and use a different router, or se the DNS on your computer. |
