 | any options besides att in the houston area? recently there have just been way too many issues with att and the final straw is this last week the internet just has unaceptable speeds in the evening (like 1/3 to 1/2 of what i should be getting). ive been calling them and even had someone come out to check things out but the only answer i ever get from them is everthing checks out and thats it, like im supposed to just accept getting speeds of their lowest package while paying the price of a better one.
are there any other options for internet that offer at least 3mbps for around $25-35 dollars? (or a little higher price for something faster) |

 | Comcast, Wavevision, Suddenlink, and Phonoscope are all listed as available in the Houston area. You will have to contact them to find out what is available at your address. |

Comcast is available in Houston and many of the surrounding cities. Wavevision and Phonoscope are mainly in apartment complexes. Suddenlink is in some areas to the north (Kingwood, Conroe, etc.) --

1 edit | reply to mr ed This is the only alternative dsl I found. »dsl-houston.net/houston_dsl.html It requires you to have an ATT phone line. 1.5 is 30 a month 3.0 is 40 a month
It looks like earthlink resells comcast for $46/mo. »www.earthlink.net
And covad/megapath could be in your area. »www.megapath.com/about/network/coverage/ (very expensive) -- ...brought to you by Carl's Jr. |
