3 edits | One of the reason I wanted the Exhibit 2 was for the upload capabilities so I can use VoIP.
The 4G uplink really made the difference compared to the HTC Wildfire S 3G that it replaced. The downlink speed was about the same for both phones, perhaps a limit of the network in my area.
Sipdroid+GV and NetTalk work satisfactory on UMTS using any codec. Using the GSM codec over 3G, NetTalk performed better over 3G than sipdroid+GV did. NetTalk actually works, but poorly, over 2G. Sip+GV wouldn't connect over 2G. |
