Faster internet option now available in parts of Sudbury?
I'm not a shill for Vianet, but just happenned to be at their website tonight as I noted in the past to myself that they were installing true Fibre optic technology in parts of the city to offer TV/Phone/High speed internet @ $99/month to compete with Eastlink that offers the same service in the area.
The service looks to be a 30/5 internet service with options to go faster. I've sent them an email to ask about speeds going up from there but I severely doubt that its available where I live.
Just wondered if anyone else in Sudbury had come across this? I know there aren't a lot of users in this forum who are from this area but just looking at this because I'll more than likely be moving in 6 months and just wondered if anyone else had heard about it because I hadn't on tv or in the local newspaper or on the radio.
Looks to be pretty good for cap free real high speed internet. And for TV and phone as well since I'm sure some of us would be happy to pay $100/month for uncapped 30/5 service I look at the tv and phone as a "Free" bonus.
Also just wanted to get the word out incase anyone else didn't know.
reply to nitzguy I do know that it is rolled out in certain areas right now. I've been running their T.V/Phone/hi-speed services for the last 2 months and not a problem yet. We will see how it goes....

Nice! I'm totally jealous! Again I asked them for the certain areas as I will be moving within the next 6 months as I'd be happy to pay them $100/mon for the triple play.
