Word of warning: With the 6950 fan design, it will get loud, I'd suggest going with a dual fan model. |

MinSY join:2011-11-25 Toronto, ON | To be honest, I was just told to get a Liquid Cooling System... The person has made several computers already, I'll ask him if he mean't use a Liquid Cooling System instead of the Hyper 212.
Isn't the Hyper 212 an after market fan for my CPU considering intel i5 has a bad stock fan? |

Gordo74Premium join:2003-10-28 Monroeville, PA | reply to MinSY The i5 does NOT have a bad stock fan, the 212+ is just cooler and quieter.
The liquid cooling system cools the CPU.
The Hyper 212+ cools the CPU.
Only one of the two is needed. Not both. It is physically impossible to use both together. |

MinSY join:2011-11-25 Toronto, ON | I was reading reviews on the i5 on newegg.ca and it said that the stock fan won't last long. Most people complain about the stock fan. Maybe it's when you OC it idk but, as I said, I'll ask the guy who recommended me the LQS if he mean't to use the LQS instead of the Hyper 212. |

matt5 join:2001-10-06 Lagrangeville, NY | reply to MinSY Intel, idk how much cash (wish I had .0001% of it...) is not giving you a fan that does not work.
The fan does the job. That is it... kinda like a 90 honda civic, no power, looks bad, gets you from point a to b (cools the cpu).
You start getting the like 212 your into a newer accord, good price, nice power, gets you to a to b + some.
And then you have like a maybach (water cooling) over the top on everything.
If you are not going to OC, stock is fine, if you are going to a little, 212 is fine (you say 4.4 however you could have a golden chip or a crap chip, I will not say what will make 4.4 and what won't)... water IMHO... sealed water... I think it really is only "good" for 3 years... I aint a big fan of sealed... myself... they work... they give you good temps... just my pure opinion, I like the idea of a heatsink that needs a fan I can replace, not a pump I can't.
You can not physically use both cooling systems you link it is a one or the other thing. You could swap them out every month or something but, if you do that I may need to come hit you with a stick. lol =p
You need a different mobo I would say as I do not think they are going to get that back in stock.
To be honest if you want advice we need more info like, what you will be doing, budget, etc... |
