My son talk me into dropping U-verse and going back to Direct TV. He got for the house Hr34(5 tunner) and 2 H25. The installers took a little over 2 hours to complete the install. The system works great.

I think Nuckfuts is referring to the difference between Uverse and DirecTV HD signals. Uverse has had a lot of problems in some areas delivering a consistently high quality HD signal.
reply to ke4pym I don't have a HR34. Was not comparing receivers PQ quality to one another. HR34 can record 5 at once. It is a five tuner. Cannot wait to try and upgrade and get one. I was stating how much better his HDPQ is gonna be compared to U-Verse HD.

Yes the PQ is better then U-verse. My wife even notice the diff. and her eyes are bad enough that she can't drive. Only grip I have with the Hr34 and H25 did not have Toslink digtal output. Had to use Digital Audio coax. So... I had to change some things on the wiring of my sound system. The Digital Audio coax is for DVD, shows on the reciever. Now when I watch a DVD the receiver says Sat. BUT it works!

reply to Nuckfuts I work with a man originally from Texas, who swears his Uverse was stellar all of the time. Of course AT&T is headquartered in Texas and they might not want to disappoint the home state politicians by making customers unhappy.
