1 edit | [Praise] Kudos to Fedex (+ ToysRUs) for making things right! Not really a Rave, but Kudos to Fedex in St. Louis. We ordered something Wednesday with Next Day Delivery. It was shipped Fedex from Columbus OH on Thursday. It went from Columbus to Indy, and then sat there all day yesterday. It made it to St. Louis this morning, but wasn't going anywhere, so I called to see if I could go pick it up, it's a gift for tomorrow. They said they would have to look up what container it was in and call me back. 2 hours later, I called in again because we hadn't heard anything. They said they'd call the local facility again. They came back and said they had located the container and were getting the package out, and the local office would call when it was ready to pick up.
When the local facility called, they said I didn't have to go get it, they'd have a manager bring it to our house. We are about 45 minutes away. Kudos to them for making up for their not getting it here yesterday!! It was just dropped off and they said they weren't going to charge us for the Saturday Delivery.
UPDATE: E-mailed ToysRUs and the shipping charges are being refunded as well, with no fuss. Thanks ToysRUs!!

Did someone at fedex originally tell you that they would charge you for saturday delivery even though they screwed up?

I guess you didn't read the original post where they were supposed to deliver the package on Friday, but instead it sat in Indy all day on Thursday and didn't make it to us on Friday. So they offered to deliver it on Saturday instead of me driving over to St. Louis to pick it up.

| I believe the point is if they did not deliver it next day although he paid for it. Therefore, by them saying something about not charging for Saturday delivery made it sound like they were doing him a favor instead of righting their screw up. |

I don't see what the issue is here. Package should have been delivered on Friday. Instead it got delivered on Saturday, which usually costs extra. So the person mentioned they weren't going to charge for Saturday delivery. Makes perfect sense to me. |
