You router will be updated to .22 in the next few hours. Posting firmware files is not allowed here.

Unless you look at FAQ and get the link there...

google is your friend...

NYCDave - IIRC, I never changed the Rev. I's firmware upgrade option - its set to its default (do NOT automatically check for upgrade). Do you suggest we leave it that way? Do you know of any work being done towards upgrading past the .22 version?

That setting will not prevent new firmware from being pushed to the router....

It certainly gives the user the sense that the opposite is true. Is there actually ANY sense in changing it from its (default) no-updates state?

1. All of a sudden I am getting faster upload speeds. I have the 3/1 Mbs plan and have regularly got ~5/1.8 now I get ~5/~4. Kudos to Verizon.
2. Does anyone know if you return defective equipment, if you will get a robo call to confirm that it was received? I sent a bad router back last Wednesday OCt. 3 (to West Chester PA with the mailing label V supplied) and UPS tracking showed it arrived Oct. 4. TIA

I just received the rev I as a replacement to my rev C and I was wondering what everyone's experiences have been like with the rev I so far? I currently have my own router (asus rt-n66u) in front of my old rev C due to the poor performance and small NAT table of the rev C. Wondering if it would be worth it to put the actiontec back as the primary router and avoid the remote dvr / caller id issues?

So my question is how is UPNP and the NAT table on the rev I? I do a lot of online gaming often have multiple xboxes hooked up.

The Rev I is a significant improvement over the Rev C for sure. But your Asus is dual band while the Actiontec is not

Yea I would probably disable the wireless on the actiontec and then make the asus function as an access point only.

The NAT table on the Rev. I should sufficient enough for you unless you're doing something exotic that requires an unusual amount of simultaneous connections.

I did almost the same thing, downloaded software directly from Actiontec and overwrote the firmware from Verizon. But, after a couple of days the router was back on the version it shipped with. My auto update option was not enabled.

ipv6 support is nice on the newer firmware but what i really want is smtp support from the actiontec. it would be a perfect router after that.

Does the new FW enable the USB host function for the 2 ports at the back?

nice ok i understand now thank you very much for the info

cause i was looking into it as i type and notice i am still at .20
will wait on it for a few days check on it

but so far its been three days of having the fios service and its great super clear the tv omg i didnt know that the router provides internet to the set top boxes which is a wow for me i didnt know that..

only bad thing that i didnt like is that its wireless n router modem cause it only has 2.4Ghz which is no bueno i have a cisco EA4500 Wireless-N with simultaneous dual-band 2.4 + 5 GHz Works with all a/b/g/n devices
4 Gigabit 10/100/1000 ports to connect wired devices IPv6 Enabled
does 1080 hd stream and 3d as well

not saying that this router dont do it cause i read that it does but at 2.4ghz

i might end up using my old router for the wireless n 5ghz only and for the range cause i notice with this router the two antennas that are on it dont give me the range that the cisco gives me

so far its been great reading your post great feed back from all of you making it a positive note for me to make the right choice in service

*as of 44 mins ago my router is now back at .22 looking at the time it displays for *time online* it shows its been running at 44 mins its now 3:32 am*
