Verizon will begin to throttle speed. Ordered new 4g phone
I got off the phone with Tier 2 to upgrade 1 line and transfer the upgraded phone to another line. 1st he tells me I cant order a certified pre owned phone as an upgrade. 2nd he tells me he cant bill the phone charge to the account. 3rd he tells me I can keep my unlimited plan even though they are upgrading me to the 4g. 4th he tells me if I dont switch to 4g, my speed will be throttled if I am a heavy user on a non-4g data plan. He said verizon wireless will now start throttling heavy users, just like Clear Wireless. I hope the rep is telling the truth. By the way, I ordered the Pantech Outbreak and I have heard as a budget smartphone, it is pretty good. I still love Verizon -- No Victim=No Crime
In a lot of areas the CDMA network is under some serious amount of stress and is unable to cope with the ever increasing amounts of data on the network.
4G LTE however is much better equipped to handle high amounts of data throughput.
They said that if you go over 2GBs of data usage you will be throttled on 3G CDMA data but not on 4G LTE.
