Can you change aspect ratio on comcast HD box?

To change your aspect ratio format on your Explorer 8300HD Box tv needs to be powered on and your Box needs to be turned off then hold down your guide and info button at the same time. Follow directions on screen. Took us a long time figure this out after taking apart our DVR connections and reconnecting them..hope it can help others.
