| psp console box false advertising  I am truly astounded by sony's deceptive packaging in regards to the psp 3000. I purchased this console for my daughter for christmas, upon initial inspection of the packaging of the psp 3000 it appeared to be a superior product to the nintendo ds being that it carried the Sony name and could essentially perform the same functions as the ds. We gave the gift to my daughter, and after opening the box and turning the psp on it was clear that we had.ben deceived by the images on the box, I am bewildered as to how Sony can place an image of a camera on the outside of the box and market pictures as a feature when u actually can not take pictures with the psp or videos or recordings. I would have never purchased the psp had I known these features were not available, the featured images are deceptive and imply these features are included. So useting. |

Camden, TN | try doing RESEARCH on a product before buying and not just looking at a box. Why would you buy a PSP 3000 anyways? The PSP Vita will be out in 2 months and is a considerable upgrade. The PSP 3000 uses 6 year old technology. What do you expect? |

Not from the pictures on a box. Most of the time the specs are also listed on the box and if it does not say camera - then it does not have one.

So where on the box does it say the PSP TAKES pictures? How about where it says it TAKES video?
Does it SHOW pictures? YES!
Does it PLAY video? YES!
So it seems you messed up, not Sony.
On the PSVita route, seems it's not selling so well in Japan...... Wonder if that's a sign for when it comes here to hold off for a price drop? |

Have to agree with the general consensus OP and say that you need to do a tad more research and not just glance at a box before you lay out your money. The other day I was in a gamestop and a clueless mom was screaming at the clerk because the Wii game she bought didn't work with an XBox 360. Same type of thing here, IMO. 100% on you. |

LOL. I`m the same way. I`m so cheap I research it for weeks. My wifes the exact opposite. Over the holidays she prob returned 10 gifts that she changed her mind about. |
