CheesePremium join:2003-10-26 Naples, FL kudos:1 | Steam Issue May not be the right spot but I am trying to figure out what is happening with my Steam. I go into the settings, interface, and set my Favorite Window to show "servers" when I click on it, if I leave my PC on overnight and come home from work the next day, it's reverted back to Store. If I set it and reboot, it's fine. Only seems to be when the PC is left on overnight which is what I do, I rarely turn it off. I have attempted to fix this by deleting the clientregistry blob file, did nothing. Uninstalled and reinstalling, nothing. Steam forums are a a joke and no one is helping. Short of formatting, I don't know what else to try and thought someone here may have run into this and may be able to help. If this is not the right location, please move mods. |

Deal with it?
I'd give you help if I had any clue, I have not one, except to say find out WHEN it resets and what is going on at that time (and that is kinda nuts).
Not a clue sorryzzzzzzzz
Edit: one like is enough. |

CheesePremium join:2003-10-26 Naples, FL kudos:1 | If I shut it down and reopen after making the change it works in that situation. |

demirPremium join:2010-07-15 usa | reply to Cheese Sounds like a software problem. Formatting and reinstalling probably won't help, I'd just deal with the problem until they fix Steam. |

Maybe they did it on purpose, wouldn't surprise me. It's true for me also and happens here.
Could try poking here for some help »partner.steamgames.com/. If its important enough, try considering HLSW server tool. -- Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. WutanGPremium join:2001-12-12 Seaford, DE | I've set the favorite window to servers before in settings, closed steam and it go back to the default store page the next day when I came back to the pc ( this was about 2 months ago). I've just tried it now and it is going to the server page as instructed now.
I'm starting to think it could've been a steam update which set my defaults back. But for now it's working like it should.
HLSW you can join directly with like with steam and use for a list, not just the rcon/admin side. But you know that I assume then.
Good luck with that, that's an odd problem. -- Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, all right. We got 4:11 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper, Edelbrock intake, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some funkin' muscle. -Wooderson |
