Already a few subway lines are knocked out via fallen debris on the tracks (overhead).

Tomorrow it will ease a bit but not by much according to NY1.

Stay safe out there.

Out east on the island in the north fork area winds are currently ( 9:15PM ) 25-30 mph with gust as high as 55 mph.

You know I was thinking maybe we'd be moving snow around Christmas time but this is what popped out of the ground on Thursday, Dec 22....love the mild weather...too bad it won't last all winter.

Aside from some delays on Subways out of Brooklyn, wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

The wind increased last night and some gusts were very strong after midnight...one ripped a neighbors storm door right off its hinges.

It is now around 8:30pm Wed evening and the wind is starting up again.

Here by Astoria Park the winds are in gusts but have calmed down in the past hour or so. . . . It suppose to get chilly tonight.
