Re: Newsleecher gone I have 5B10 and I can launch it just fine. Supersearch also comes back with results just fine as well. I wonder if it phones home for every launch or just now and then to check license?

| I get the "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)" from the website.
Was able to connect once today with Newsleecher but since then I get a password prompt and when I enter my password I get an "error in response from key validation server (1)" error. |

I suspect it phones home at launch, I've left my Newsleecher open all night and no problems this morning.

I remember what I think got broken since I last updated.. it used to report the Gb of what I was downloading.. doesn't do it anymore.. anyway time to look at upgrading.. I'm obviously far behind 
Just for the record some "newsleecher" *cough* hacks have you 127.0.0.1 newsleecher.com  so if that's the case with you.. you might want to look at your "hosts" files I believe it's called
At the time of this writing "supersearch" is working good for me |

It's not the point, the software should not stop functioning beause the website is down.
An update (my key went in to Trail mode, and I couldn't find the original) so I tried the hosts trick. NL shut right down, it must have read my hosts file and discovered it was in there.
This is what I'm afraid is the "cloud computing" M$ wants to implement (mostly to thwart piracy), if their servers go down (it could happen) the computing world is screwed.
I'm 100% against anything that depends on external factors to work (Steam being a prime example..)
