Audio problem with CNN
This is a strange one. I do not get an any audio on the CNN broadcast itself: channel 16 here in Oakville. But weirdly there is audio on Cogeco's own ads when there is a cut to commercials. There is no audio on the US commercials.
I have no audio problem with any other channels.
I called tech support and explained the situation. The tech sent a signal to reset the box. Not the solution. I was told I must have hit the SAP button on the TV's remote. I replied that I do not use the TV remote (I only use the Cogeco remote), and that the audio path is from the cable box --> a/v receiver --> speakers. There are no speakers on the tv, it is display-only.
UPDATE: I resolved this on my own. Somehow, the issue was related to an audio setting on the a/v receiver.
