If you don't like how they play /ignore, if you do like how they play add friend. agreed... |

It could be the mind's natural resistance to change... but I don't know. Anyway... that's my take on the leveling experience.
As for max level... i've got a long way to go. i agree completely. I am still enjoying SWTOR and will be for quite some time but you're absolutely right. Something about the "feel" of WoW's character movements cant be replicated by bioware. The only way i can describe it is wow feels smooth while swtor feels clunky, to me anyway.
with that said, alot of the animations for abilities in swtor are badass.
SWTORs story + WoWs gameplay would make a beautiful baby. |

Main assist target macro. Some of us don't group all the time. -- I love the Green Bay Packers. /facepalm |

Main assist target macro. Speaking of which, is there an assist command in SWTOR? -- Dresden - I work in Accounts Payable. Random Bad Guy - In what capacity? Dresden - I make sure everyone gets what's coming to them. |

 | reply to Spork Im sure I did occasionally, but I always played tank, so there was that.
Secondly, when I PvP, I never tab targeted, that would be terrible. |

| reply to Adalicia As far as my thoughts for the future go, Bioware needs to take in-game support away from EA because it's slowly driving me away from the game.
I've been having issues with orange gear either losing some mods after logoff or mods disappearing when trying to put them in orange gear.
Four tickets (none of which actually asked about the specific circumstances of the bug occurence) in, all closed without resolution, and now they're pretty much calling me a scammer.
I hate stupid bugs like that but I hate piss-poor customer service that won't address the consequences of those bugs a hell of a lot more. That is right out of the EA book though. |
|
 | reply to Adalicia Taking down the server for maintenance on a Friday night is s headscratcher for me. |
|
 | reply to Adalicia 1. I started playing SWTOR in beta, then did the early release, then quit playing about one week after launch. I levelled a trooper to 21, a gunslinger to 10, and a Jedi shadow to 18. I really liked the music, the cutscenes (for a while at least), and the phenomenal voice acting.
However, I HATED the game. I thought it was stale, repetitive, and static. It was missing tons of features that every MMO in recent memory have - UI customization, LFD, etc. My major beefs were the ability delay and extended animations for everything, cutscenes in dungeons (I hate being handcuffed and having to sit because one person wants to watch the cutscenes), cutscenes for EVERY damn quest (my spacebar is shot), and the horrible UI. I quit in frustration after the 2nd stupid planet of huge buildings as background props with ugly gray hallways with steampipes everywhere. It just felt dead. Oh yeah, and the trade skills thoroughly blew.
2. I thought the launch was fairly smooth, a few long queue's, but nothing world-breaking.
3. My opinion on its longevity means little - there is a huge Star Wars fanboi base, that I'm sure will keep it alive for a long time to come.
4. I don't really care what improvements they make or don't make, I won't be re-activating my account. The fundamentals don't interest me.
5. See above. |

 | reply to Adalicia "What do you think about SW:TOR in general?" -I think that SW:TOR is a very entertaining MMO. It has brought back a feeling of this genre of games like the release of EQ (not as awe inspiring but atleast captured my attention longer than most). It has a good leveling system, which is still a grind, but has a different flare than the traditional system. Im not big on PvP atm due to always being in a Huttball que.
"What did you think about SW:TOR's launch?" -I didnt start at launch due to being out of the country. I have, however, been playing for almost a month and ive had very little issues with bugs/ect.
"What do you think about SW:TOR's longevity?" -That has yet to be decided. If EQ is still around i believe SW:TOR will be around for years. How active of a population would be the true defining measurable, and that depends on how they handle the release of content. Also, for me the longevity depends on how they cater to the masses. I like the fact that there is no cross server lfd/wz/lfr additions. I miss having a server and it meaning something. That is one reason I left WoW and will not return. Sure, i think they should implement a global LFG system, but within the server.
"What improvements would you like to see brought to game?" -Global LFG interface. The ability to select a particular WZ, cause im an Imperial and am already tired of Huttball. Also a WZ that spreads people out instead of this clump (AV style perhaps). Also a way to seperate loot so people will not roll need on items for their companion and get them other someones main upgrade.
"What features (if any) would you like to see removed?" -The new cooldown fuction where it shades your all of your abilities wasnt really an improvement. Like the masses say, the ability delay (tho in PvE its hardly noticable). |

There needs to be a new type of mmo structure as it's all copy / paste the same thing.
A star wars mmo is silly.
Blasters and Force Users aren't the same in the movies / books etc. In this game, blasters are better. As a mercenary I can blast the hell out of a jedi. Lightsabers aren't lightsabers... they're wet noodles.
If there could be some sort of hybrid mmo+force unleashed like abilities, that could be good.
Either everyone is a force user or no one is. There is such a huge balance issue with game play and lore. A sith or jedi should be able to cut through a legion of "expendables". Right now, the expendables are the best classes in the game. -- "If something about the human body disgusts you, complain to the manufacturer" - Lenny Bruce What this country needs is a good five dollar plasma weapon. |

MMOs in general suck anymore. It's been the same shit since Everquest.
Lightsaber classes suck hard. |

In all fairness Mike, the Smugglers and Bounty Hunters and Operatives and Commando's that people play, aren't your run of the mill "trooper 4367". They are "hero's" in game.
They aren't front line privates getting mowed down by blaster fire. They are special unique snowflakes that can kick ass (even your run of the mill Jedi and Sith) and take names
Also Sages/Sorcs and Assassins/Shadows rape faces |
