Re: [Sci-Fi] Gaius Baltar... the great martyr

I guess I was right.. I only saw 13 episodes because Syfy stopped airing them in the US.

Thanks for that link. IMDB only showed 17 episodes.

They didn't. SyFy did a marathon of the last 4-5 episodes in January last year and ran them all back-to-back, only once.

I am currently going through what I call my yearly BSG phase. I take out the blurays and rewatch the entire series...
...

I do something similar, usually with Sci-Fi shows. I got 15 minutes into the BSG mini series, saw a Firefly flying threw the sky on Caprica, and ended up watching the entire run of Firefly and ending with the movie Serenity. I'm easily distracted, it seems.

Right now I'm about 6 episodes into BSG after watching the mini-series/pilot. So far Baltar is incredibly selfish, a bit bumbling, and very much a coward. I know he gave 6 access to the Defense Main Frame, but he thought she was just a hot (human) businesswoman trying to score a Defense contract. He didn't knowingly cause the fall of the Colonies.

After that though, when he found out that the Cylons look human, he didn't do anything to try and stop them or even tell anyone what he knew. Then he accused a person of being a Cylon, and got the guy left at Ragnar Anchorage. Turns out he was right, but he had no way of knowing that.
Letting Boomer go free after he confirmed she was a Cylon was criminal.
It's funny that Adama, at the Galactica decommissioning ceremony, gave a speech about being responsible for your actions. So far, early in the series, that doesn't happen with Baltar.

As I watch the rest of the series, I'll try to keep an eye on Baltar's actions.
