FiOS 150/35 with bundle?

Click for full size
I was just browsing about the My Verizon account portal and was poking upgrade offers; interestingly, I was offered an upgrade to my bundle which includes the 150/35 Internet Tier for a $20.00 bundle increase. So I went ahead and ordered. Is this for real or some sort of system screw up? Previously, I've tried to order the standalone 150/35 with no success.

Now that just takes the NY exclusivity to a whole new level while giving the rest of FiOS customers who can't get that pricing the bird...

As far as I can tell, they changed it last week. Two weeks ago the best I could order was 35/35. Now it offers 150/35 only with ultimate HD for a similar price. Not sure if it's NY-only.

I wonder if anyone actually ordered it and had it working with any success. The 'upgrade' date is set for January 9th. Apparently a tech needs to come out with a new router. I am already on Ethernet and presumably on GPON having an ONT with a gigabit port.

Will be interesting for that price...

Well Verizon screwed up my first appointment. Was suppose to be Dec 24th but they never showed up and I called and they say they hit a road bump. They need to come and replace my ONT and they have to go to the BIG HUB box around my block or something. And they have to give me a new router. So Jan 4th is the lucky day. Make sure if they give you a Rev I router. I checked almost everyday and I ordered it Dec 21st. So on or before that day the 150/35 package was available as a triple play bundle. Anyone not from NY area see this offer? I'm still wondering. A few people in NY already have or will order this bundle.

check out this for more info on the Rev I router and ONT

RoKmAn, that's an excellent price for that bundle. I used to be on the 35/35, Ultimate HD, and voice for $145.00. My bundle went to $165.00 after I signed up for 150/35 on 12/23/11. The new MI424WR Rev. I router and service were installed yesterday, 12/28/11.

Taz, excellent price indeed! Was your upgraded speed provisoned prior to the tech visiting your premises?

Taz & Rokman,

Were either of you new subs or out of contract to get those bundles at either price? When I go into my account I can't get that bundle at all. I am still under contract with my 35/35 triple play bundle at $149.99.

That's a sweet price. Too bad I can't justify spending an extra $100 for it, 35/35 is plenty for me.

Existing sub, expired contract (I think).

I'm seeing that I can upgrade to the 50/20 plan. This is the first time I've seen this for the bundle

RoKmAn, my speed was provisioned the same day the router was installed.

UofMiamiGrad, I was about a month into a new contract. I have been with FiOS for 2 years and 1 day. My first plan was for Extreme HD 2009, 35/20, and non-digital voice for $135.00. That plan only had a 1 year contract, but it had a 2 year price guarantee. Before the price guarantee ended, I signed up for Ultimate HD, 35/35, and digital voice for $145.00 this past November. This past Friday, when I was about 1 month into the new 2 year contract, I ordered the new 150/35 bundle. When I signed up for the new bundle, all it did was reset the contract starting date. In fact, I can still go sign up for something else. I can even downgrade to the 35/35 bundle, and now it would only cost me $140.00. All you have to do in order to change your bundle is go to the "Upgrade Your Service" tab under the "My Verizon Residential" section of the Verizon account website.

Tried what you suggested, all I get is the option to bundle 50/20 package for $5 less per month than what I am currently paying. Attached is a screen shot. No 150/35 bundle for me unfortunately at the moment.

Man so you get phone/tv/internet for $75/month less than I am paying? Going on the main site it still says 150/35 is not able to be bundled (along with 50/20). I guess this is only east NJ/NY/etc... No go here in california. I would jump on that deal if I could get it =)

UofMiamiGrad, in the 8th post down on this thread, bohratom mentions that his NJ area is only BPON, so the max he can order is 50/20. Maybe your area is just BPON? Do you qualify for unbundled 150/35, btw?

Call and see if you can get the 150/35. Worth a try...
