I've been on the ATT Elite DSL plan for years. I recently noticed a significant decrease in upload speed. Download speed seemed slower also but not as significant. I've run several speed tests at multiple sites and get the same general numbers:
ATT technician came out last week and left a note on the front door that my internet problem is now "fixed". Speed tests still are exactly the same.
The Elite option is touted as 3-6 Mbps download speed and 768 kbps upload. I'm getting ripped off if these speed tests are accurate. I'm thinking of moving down to the Pro plan if the most I can get with Elite is around 3 Mbps and horrible upload speed. Any ideas on this? Thanks
reply to smalltex I've got an old Westell Wirespeed modem and I just read how to run the stats. I'm green at this. I put in launchmodem and also tried »192.168.1.1 that I found on how to run stats and nothing comes up on the browser.
I'm using a Linksys wireless router --WRT54G. Hope I don't have to unhook that to proceed.
