| [Wireless] linkeys router a few weeks ago i got new/sed pc from a buddy.i got a ps3 for christmas,for a while now i had an old linkeys(wrt54gs) router i purchased at a thrift store not sure if it worked or not at the time.
anyways i tried to get it towork so that i can play on ps3 network
and i couldn't .so i called my brother who does computer networking
he came over and connected the router to his laptop and said he "CLONED" my mac adress and it started working. so as of yesterday i go to switch my old computer with the new one it was worked at first
and then i started to notice it would restart by itself..i went it to the router and not sure exactly what i did but my outer now will not allow me too get online i have since reset the router and modem from the new pc i can get inside the router but i can't get on the web. if i unplug my cord directly into my new pc from the modem it's still say's limited activitay and i cant get so took my old pc and connected and able to get on just fine does anyone know what the problem could be and the reason i'm not asking my brother is we got into a slight argument is it possible he could have did something had all passwords and i googled cloning mac adresss and didn't read
bot new and old pc's are on windows xp PLEASE IF THERE SOMEONE THAT CAN HELP ME GET THIS ROUTER FIX I WOULD GREATLY APPREICIATE IT! |
