 | Not unless your router password is a joke and you have it on WAN accessible or you let random people inside your house with access to your router, or your router uses weak encryption and people can sit outside you house in a car with a laptop scanning for networks and weak [software breakable encryption without being noticed. And in the event you can have the later happen they most likely are not looking for your piddely home network but rather the dumb corporations who run credit card info in the several per minute range with lax protection.
That said what WIRELESS or ROUTER device do you actually have right now, since that's actually what will determine how you log in?
You can find the login IP as simply as IPCONFIG and note the gateway IP. |

Try unplugging the modem, disconnecting the coaxial cable connection and powering the modem back up without the cable connected. Try admin/motorola, and if that does not work, you may have to factory reset the modem. (there should be a small hole in the back that you can push a pin into). |

 | reply to suit78 You must have 50/5 wideband from TWC and in most areas cannot change the password. It would be a good idea for you to post in the Road Runner forum, lots of experienced wideband subscribers there. |

 | reply to suit78 Some cable operators disable changing any settings on the embedded wireless router gateways. I always advocate 2 separate devices (the modem and your own wifi router). This way you still have access to your network settings.
PTD.net locks down the ubee wireless gateway too. The only parameter you can change is the wifi channel. The SSID is the model number of the device ( DDW3611 ) and the WPA2 password is the mac address of the modem.
Looks like TWC is locking down your device too. If I were you I'd swap it out and get a separate wireless router. |
