Dynex 32" TVs have trouble with WOW cable
I got this Dynex 32" LCD HDTV but returned it due to choppy audio and failure to switch to a couple of HD channels when using the built-in digital cable (clear QAM) tuner on my WOW cable.
It seems as though a few other folks (link and link) have had issues with their Dynex TV's and WOW cable.
The 37" and 20" LG HDTV's in my house have no problems, either with the video or audio, with tuning and viewing the clear QAM channels on the WOW cable service here.
What could be causing the Dynex sets to have so much trouble with WOW's clear QAM channels?
That's happened to me a lot on weaker QAM tuners. Reduce the number of splits in your home if at all possible, and if it still doesn't jive try plugging in JUST the TV into the cable (no splits). You might need an amp on the cable when it comes into the home to get it to a level that the TV can read.

Dynex, if you're unaware, is a low end television manufactured by a Chinese company for sale at Best Buy. A lot of times, with these lower end TVs, they require a much tighter signal range in order to function properly using a QAM tuner. I've seen Dynex TV's work on our system, so it would lead me to believe it's an issue of finding the sweet spot as far as signal strength goes for your specific tuner. One thing you can try is to put this TV in place of one of the two that get those channels, and see if this TV gets it on that outlet. If it does, then you know for sure it's a signal problem with the outlet you're using. A technician visit would be required in order to investigate and try and resolve an issue like that.
