| reply to sailor I see what you're saying. And looking at how the 49'ers have been playing recently, I was tempted to pick them, but well, it's the Giants.
I want the Ravens to win, but they're going up against Brady.

 | reply to rockotman I'd love NE to win but they haven't beat a team above 500 yet in the regular or post season. I'll pick them anyways.

capdjqRIP my friendPremium join:2000-11-01 Coastie | Why do people keep choosing the Forty Niners over the G Men? For crying out loud the Saints gave away the game last week. However, they might win in the crap, mud and slush of a Stadium that should be demolished and where having power is uncertain. In the anticipated Mud Bowl anyone could win. However, I choose the NYG
Tom Brady will cut through the Raven's defense like a knife through butter. With tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez and wideouts Wes Welker, Deion Branch and Julian Edelman, no defense, including Baltimores, has enough quality cover artists to stop them. The question is can the Ravens generate a pass-rush to slow down Brady? Judging by the last month, the answer is a resounding "No". They registered five sacks over the final three weeks of the regular season and then got zero pressure on T.J. Yates in the divisional round.
NE wins in a romp (more that 2 TDs). -- You have the right to believe what you want; I have the right to believe its ridiculous.

NE wins in a romp (more that 2 TDs). I also felt the way you do and picked the Patriots...but then the next day I changed my mind and picked the Ravens...For two reasons.....#1, Brady missed a day of practice this past week and was limited in the other days of practice.....supposedly due to a sore non throwing shoulder...#2....the Ravens played horrible IMO and were lucky to come out with a win last week.....but the more I thought about that the more I thought is it possible for a team that had such a good season record to play back to back horrible games?......So I'm looking for a Raven upset up in New England. More then likely will probably get my ass kicked but I can almost feel an upset. But if Brady has a sore shoulder one good hard hit being slammed to the ground could have a huge effect on the game.
Eli also was unable to practice one day during the week after coming down with the flu...he came out and tried to practice but had to stop....to sick.....all are saying he's now good to go but I talked to someone who saw him the day he was sick and he told me he looked terrible...terrible from someone very sick with the flu.
I hope him and Brady will both be healthy but I dunno. |

The upset would be Ravens over the Patriots. What would the upset be in the SF vs NY match? The teams are too close to choose. |

Please check yours to make sure I entered them correctly. I would have missed the change that Sailor made if he had not subsequently posted that he changed his pick. That'll teach me to try and get a head start and enter picks into the spreadsheet earlier in the week. -- Shine on you crazy diamond... |
