| TiVo help thread. No Guide info/No TRUTV. Am I the only one? Okay, I called them (chat service is not available in my area). First, I got a nice lady. She flashed my card, or what-ever. No change, meaning missing line-up of COM,MTV,& NIK. No TRU mentioned at all on the line-up. She suggested someone to be called out. I told her I would talk to TiVo before she sends someone.
I remember this when USAHD, etc. were added last year. I don't remember how I fixed it. No one had to come out.
On chance, I took the guided setup on TiVo. No Dice. I then reset the box. Nope.
I called MC, one more time. Since I reset the box, I thought they might be able to do something. I got some dude who says there is something about my "Quad Tuner"(QAM?), and I need a free converter. He read a memo about it. He said it effected Speed Chan. too. I get Speed fine. He told me TRUTV is not going HD in my area. I read to him from the web post. He them told me to call TiVo. I will tomorrow. Since he really did not help me much, I want to call support again. I won't post his name, but DERP!
I thought perhaps some of my fellow TiVo fans can help me with this one? Thank you in advance.

I am New London also. They are sending someone out Tuesday, if TiVo does not have an answer tomorrow.
I did fill out TiVo's form for added/deleted channels mid-week last week.
It was mentioned by a Rep, we are getting Spike too? Regional error on Rep's part?

I seriously doubt a truck roll will help, it seems to me that Metrocast hasn't updated Tribune with their channel change...

I have been doing frequent network connections on the TiVo, just in case.
Weird thing is that I got the Line-up Message for 801. It was from there I found the new channels were added. I didn't expect program info, being before the 1st.
Since then, I never got a message for the additions of the new HD channels. Perhaps TiVo does not know they are there yet? IDK. Why does being cutting-edge, and owning the best such a pain in the ASCII? Damn you Starr Jones! |

Tivo guide data comes via Zap2It, which is commonly on a bit of a delay from when we actually launch things.
Channel 801, and soon 802 and 803, rebranded slightly, so the guide information changed. That is why you received a message about those.
I just put on MLB HD about an hour ago, and TruTV has not launched quite yet, it should be up sometime today or tomorrow morning. |

| I got TruTV! Yet, through unconventional means. Means that are not recommended.
I took out my cablecard. Told the TiVo to scan for channels. It found the designation for TruTV HD. Of course, the channel was blocked.
I then put in the card. Took the guided set-up. That forced TiVo to push all channel/program listing from scratch. I did not want to do a full reset, and lose my to-do list.
TruTV HD was still blocked, but a normal TiVo restart put everything right. Even the missing schedule.
Thanks Ultra for letting me know that info about how TiVo works with new messages, and line-ups.
I freaking love TruTV! It was maddening. |

You probably didnt need to do any of that. The channel simply was not launched until about 4pm yesterday. Once I finished my side it would have just popped in to your map. |

I can see all the channels but program guide data is still to be announced on three channels:
MLB HD
Planet Green HD
TruTV HD
It's because they are shown on TiVO just like that and therefore dont' match up with Tribune data. They should be MLBHD, GREENHD and TruHD....
I keep filing reports. Fingers crossed. |

The names that you are seeing are the names reported by the CableCard itself. Once Tribune updates their portions, it only cares about the channel number and the names will properly fill in. |
