| Puxing PX-A6 Thoughts Checking out a Puxing PX-A6 used by a friend on a local GMRS repeater...

Pretty good radio for ~$50... my analyzer won't go lower than -130db, and the squelch still hasn't dropped...

Frequency is pretty accurate, and the radio puts out over 2 watts. (modulation is OK (~2.4khz in narrow mode) , I had it set wrong on the SA when I took the picture)

I might have to get one of these radios for myself... Does anyone have one (or something similar?) -- Boone County Scanner Feed: »boone.mo.scanamerica.us/

| One of my club buddies has a couple of the Wouxun dual-band radios. He's very pleased with them, but I doubt if he's ever had one connected to a service monitor. The nice thing is if it goes "POOF!", or you drop one overboard or off a roof, you're not out much money!
BTW.....Nice service monitor! I had an IFR 1200S for a while, but didn't really use it often enough to justify keeping it around. Still wish I had it, though. It was paid for, I didn't really need the cash a friend offered me for it, but like a dummy, I let it go. Oh, well..... -- One man's Magic is another man's Engineering. |

 | reply to alphapointe Your friend does know it's not legal to use it on GMRS right?
That said, it's just fine for ham use. I might pick up one as a spare HT someday. |

I have to agree... it's clean, and he has a license... |

 | Yeah I agree. Just had to put it out there. |
