nikdoPremium join:2002-02-26 Dacula, GA kudos:1 | reply to RockCake I suspect that next year the NFC South may be the strongest division in the league. Cam Newton will have a year under his belt and Atlanta/NO look to be strong for years to come. The right coach in Tampa could also be interesting. Matt Ryan needs to step up in New York and reshape the playoffs next week. |

It sure took a while, but watching them last night it looked like they finally woke up from their slumber and played with some fire in their eyes. PLEASE, don't fire Coughlin just yet. -- I had a life once.....now I have a Computer and a Modem. |

| reply to nikdo said by nikdo:Matt Ryan needs to step up in New York and reshape the playoffs next week. I figure 4 INTs from him ought to reshape things nicely enough. He sure reshaped it against Green Bay last year, and that one was at home.
If Ryan wants to be an elite quarterback, then he needs to start playing his best when it matters most. Otherwise, he's just who he is: a serviceable but highly overrated QB. |

For those who don't see Atlanta every week, I think Grimes is one of the most under rated(and underpaid) corners in the league. He makes the money they spent on Dunta look very unfair.

rockotman...Blown On The Steel BreezeEmerging Research join:2000-08-06 DSotM | reply to Moorecards I fear a very short playoff run for the Stillers this year...
The fan in me will root for the Stillers to the bitter end. The clear, detached, objective opinion says that they won't go that far.
Ryan Clark won't play in Denver because of his blood disorder - playing at high altitudes could kill him. One of his back-ups, Cortez Allen, suffered a shoulder or bicep injury yesterday, and will probably not be around the rest of the year
Mendenhall tore an ACL yesterday - done for the year
Woodley still is not healthy.
Ben still is not healthy.
Our place kicker sucks.
I predict a NO/Bal SB. Of course I will root for Bal since they are a member of the AFC Norris Division. Unless, of course, the Stillers play them again this month. -- Shine on you crazy diamond... |

Terrible news. For him and the team.
In the few times I've seen him I enjoy the way he runs with the ball...reminds me somewhat of a cat named John Riggins. |

| reply to rockotman I'm still optimistic about the Steelers. Denver isn't a stellar team. And I have never been a big fan of mendenhall. And yes we are hurt but I swear every year going into the playoffs we have hurt people all over the place. But we seem to adapt many times.
Still hoping for a Pitt/Balt match up again.
In the end if Pitt or Balt don't make it to the SB then odds are I will root for the NFC team since NE will then likely be the AFC team.
I think the NFC will have some pretty good games coming up with GB, SF, NO battling it out. -- Cry "Havoc!" and let slip the dogs of war |

Definitely a bummer about Mendenhall, but the Stillers banged up or not are always a tough bunch. I think Big Ben would still play with 2 broken legs if they'd let him. -- I had a life once.....now I have a Computer and a Modem. |

Green Bay/New England or New Orleans/New England. These are the two matchups with the most potential for a close, yet high scoring and exciting game.
On the other side of the coin: Denver/Atlanta, Denver/New York, or replace Denver with Cincinnati. Those are the Snooze Central contests no one wants to see. (Of course, the chances of us seeing any of those latter matchups are pretty miniscule, thank Tebow God.) |
