Fox had the Broncos playing scared last week. They never sent out more than two receivers on any play, even third and longs (until the last drive). Tebow spent most of the game running around desperately trying to find someone open, then throwing the ball away when he ran out of room. If they repeat that rancid game plan against the Steelers, it will be a blowout early. -- Dresden - I work in Accounts Payable. Random Bad Guy - In what capacity? | reply to rockotman Well its a new season and everybody is 0-0. It's weird having a bye week for a change, but I'm glad for it (Ravens).
Cannot see the Broncos beating the Steelers with that offense vs that defense.
Cincy/Houston is a tough call. Maybe home field is the difference there. Dalton is impressive though. |

Except for Washington. They're still 5-11. Again. And the Colts. They're still 2-14, or whatever they were.
Also-- Atlanta remains a marginal playoff team, at best.
Cannot see the Broncos beating the Steelers with that offense vs that defense. Which offense vs. which defense? You can probably figure Denver will get their 13 or 14 points. So it could be simply a matter of can Denver's defense keep Pittsburgh under that? Though both of those defenses are capable of adding to the scoring themselves.
Cincy/Houston is a tough call. Maybe home field is the difference there. Houston is the new Cincinnati. |

Per a league source, Quinn has been getting roughly half the first-team reps in practice this week.
Its unknown whether Quinn actually will play on Sunday against Pittsburgh, either as a replacement for Tebow (if he fails to pull the trigger) or an unexpected change-of-pace insertion. Either way, the use of Quinn could throw a wrench into the Steelers Tebow-specific game plan. »profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20···ractice/ .
Interesting. I think it would be a solid move to put Quinn in the Broncos get behind, but on the other hand, the 4th qtr was "Tebow Time", although not so much lately. -- You Can't Kill Rock 'n' Roll! |

| Chris Mortensen said he wouldn't be surprised to see Quinn playing if the Broncos are falling way behind under Tebow. It's one thing to be patient with Tebow during regular season games; teams have to do that with inexperienced QB's. But playoffs are lose-and-go-home, and patience isn't so much a virtue there. -- their dreams a tattered sail in the wind |

Your not kidding and I sure hope he makes it...locally, a very well liked guy who everyone knew was using a torch to try and unstuck an apparent frozen valve in the yard area of his fuel oil business.
A delivery truck was unloading biofuel at the time when a rubber section of the line split open throwing out gallons of biofuel...before he or anyone could react the torch in his hand ignited a fireball and engulfed him....the truck driver, a couple of his employees and two women who were driving by at the time all came to his aid...he suffered extensive burns to the front part of his body and was airlifted to the nearest hospital with a burn unit..( approx 30 miles away )
While he was in critical condition things quickly started looking very favorable for him...his wife, two children, all his employees...just everyone was real upbeat that he was going to make it...everyone was being told that he was doing so much better...
Then suddenly this past Tuesday he passed away from the burns, four days after it happened....family and community has been in a state of shock since....
So yes, some things sure do make the playoffs seem a whole lot less important.
I hope the Steeler coach survives his burns. |

On another note, the first playoff game finally started. And man, these late east coast starts are tough on my particular football watching 'schedule'. -- I had a life once.....now I have a Computer and a Modem. |

I haven't seen Cinci play much, but this Dalton guy they have at QB is pretty good.
Also, the Cinci Coach is bad at challenging plays. |
