jabbdb89 join:2012-01-02 Greenwood, NY	[360] Bridging Modem for gaming I have an old Speedstream modem and a NETGEAR router with frontier and i need to bridge my modem and i cant. is there a modem i can bridge that it compatible with frontier or even a modem that doesnt have NAT built into and serve somewhat as a router?

Canezoid We are the Corps join:2001-02-16 Powder Springs, GA Reviews: ·AT&T U-Verse 1 edit	I assume this is DSL, you are authenticating to Frontier network via PPPoe, UID & password of somesort. You will have to get the WAN setttings of the UI in the 5200. This may help >> »www2.windstream.net/downloads/li···m211.pdf Check out page 32 & 33 for bridged protocol. The menu's in the manual may differ some from what you see, but it should get you to where you need to be. Procedures for any PPPoe device on DSL services are basically the same it's just a question of getting to the right setting of the equipment you're using. Once you do this however, you are going to have to setup the Netgear for PPPoe. Have been using Netgear equipment here for many years, always reliable & easy to setup, UPnP from that point once you get set up should take care of your NAT issue.
