Atlantic BB router Help

We have a cable modem. I hooked a wireless router up to it.
If one computer (ethernet from desktop) is hooked up, my laptop wifi gets bumped off. If the laptop is connected, the desktop cannot connect. It's one or the other! Why not both? what needs to be done??

There is no reason that both connections shouldn't be live.

As for what's wrong, what kind of router are you using? What kind of security are you using and are you storing the passcode on the laptop?

If you are, then it should work simultaneously.
