Re: Unwanted phone calls said by nozero:Otherwise, if I think it's worth the time and the chance they will call back, I can add them to my direct to voice mail group.
Reading back through all the suggestions, I had missed this one. I have the maximum 12 numbers for "800 Service" blocked but there are so many more.
I do have another option to forward specific numbers to voice mail. Until I just looked, I thought call forwarding was only for when I want to forward all calls to my cell phone when I'm going to be out. I never looked there because I seldom have wanted to do that since family and other possible frequent callers know my cell number.
I don't know if there is a limit for how many phone numbers I can forward, but I guess I'll find out if this group continues.
Thanks, Michael. -- Join Team Helix * I am praying for these friends . |

| reply to sortofageek No prob, hope it works!
Since we dropped our landline and with me having a government owned cell, we don't get many unsolicited calls. I do get a few on gov cell, I just tell them they are calling a government owned number and device. So far, they all hang up. If that does not work, I start asking for company names and supervisors, again there all have hung up, thus far.
I've considered telling them the call is being monitored and recorded. It wouldn't be a lie per se, since that is ALWAYS a possibility on a gov phone. -- Every moment is another chance to turn it all around. -- Cigar Asylum --
