Re: TSI Marc, Quebec cable announcement, when? said by ghostly57:I asked him what kind of technical issues are stopping the him from releasing the new pricing and then he answered: "All the back office systems need to be updated in order to allow new services to be ordered. I didn't know Quebec cable was a new service for Teksavvy. Seems odd it is offered right now at the old prices.
said by ghostly57:There are also marketing materials that need to be prepared.. Before preparing marketing materials, just updating the prices and allowed usage on the web site is a good start. That should be half's a day of work if only the prices and the usage are updated.
said by ghostly57:We've just implemented new functionality in our systems as well and all of these issues are going on at the same time. " In other words, we are not prepared for new customers, except for those from Rogers area and DSL for the rest. Don't come to us right now, we are overwhelmed. With the customers migrating to your competition that should help to free up time. |

Guesstimated prices.
I would introduce a tier with a 500GB or 600Gb cap instead of a no cap at the extreme and ultimate levels. This would give tek time to analyze the effects on their network instead of an unlimited tier. If all goes well, then they could always upgrade it for free to unlimited. |

grunze510 join:2009-02-14 Cote Saint-Luc, QC kudos:1 | reply to bbwarrior I based the pricing on TekSavvy's DSL and Ontario price increases, including a certain price point that makes absolutely no sense. I also used EBox and Distributel's pricing as some guidance. |

Well, I think the Extreme 15/1.5 Mbit/s tier is fine as it is, considering the price I gave it. The Ultimate 30/2 Mbit/s tier should probably be bumped down to 500GB as you said, maybe with a bit of a price drop. And there's no way that an unlimited 60/3 Mbit/s tier is going to work out with a 1Gbit/s link, which is why I wrote N/A for the price, meaning that it doesn't exist. I'll edit those. |

TekSavvy Extreme Cable 15 - 15/1.5 Mbit/s - 300GB - $50.99/month
TekSavvy Ultimate Cable 30 - 30/2 Mbit/s - 300GB - $51.99/month $51 for 15mbps and $52 for 30 mbps i know that's what they did for dsl10 and dsl16 ($1 difference) but it is ridiculous honestly to have such a small gap between the 2 speeds you can double your speed for $1 nobody even with half a brain would go for the 15mbps |

psor on DSL 10Mb, QC.
Rarely over 300Gb, happens once, but the next month used less and they average out, so for me, nop, but I can not tell if both months are over, as it does not happened to me.
With the new system, can not answer too, but I would assumed you will be bill. |

If you went even 1GB over your cap, Videotron billed TekSavvy for that usage. So TekSavvy could not afford to be lenient. -- Developer: Tomato/MLPPP, Linux/MLPPP, etc »fixppp.org |

psor I have never paid overages with Teksavvy on QC cable, and I've gone over sometimes by 25 GBs. Which is why, although I'm angry with them for how they've treated us, am not angry enough to spend $70 to go elsewhere. At the moment. |

 | reply to malquin can't wait this will happen to me...
If teksavvy really have their problemS solved by end of this month and start offering this speed with reasonable price and cap.

 | reply to malquin Still nothing?
How can Teksavvy think this is acceptable? When the new prices are announced, can we get refunds back to the start of February, when the prices should have been put into effect? That's a serious question, Marc. Will you be giving us back the extra 25 bucks you're pocketing off of us? |

Will you be giving us back the extra 25 bucks you're pocketing off of us? While I personally would *love* to have as much money in my pocket as I can, there was never a requirement for Teksavvy to change or better their prices in the first place. I certainly don't feel they are obligated to make a retroactive change.
The only thing they have stumbled over (and continue to stumble over) is communicating when they will have new packages. That I fully understand is annoying.
That said, I do like money, so if they feel like making it retroactive all the better. If not, so be it. Ultimately if they are just a bit better than Videotron, and electronicbox ends up having a good Quebec reputation, then they'll lose customers (including me). |

EDIT: Replaced unlimited 30/2 with a 500GB cap, and added overage pricing for the 30/2 500GB and 60/3 300GB tiers. Those numbers will not be worth the wait !!! |

 | reply to malquin so when is the new pricing date
the way i see it is that teksavvy sukered us all for an xtra 20$ for the month of febuary i was better off transfering to electronicbox hey rocky or whoever if you gonna delay for another 20$ ripoff ...... please tell us now so the tranfer fee will be alot cheaper if you gonna close your doors tell me so i can tranfer my phone+internet asap |
|
LOL @videotron.ca | said by s69:so when is the new pricing date hehe it might be more than a couple of weeks.
Rogers just filed that they want to charge more. Videotron will likely jump in. etc etc etc.
Or tsi will make a move to give the costs you want, then say that due to new pricing cableco's want, yet again, resold videotron is going up 50$/month. Up to you to voice your opinion at the CRTC or the harper gov.
The game is only beginning.... and it never ends.
This is getting funny. |
